CNC Surface Finishing Options
Chromate conversion coating, more commonly known by its brand name Alodine, is a chemical coating that passivate and protects aluminum from corrosion. It is also used as a base layer before priming and painting parts.
Colors:Clear, Gold
Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process that grows the natural oxide layer on aluminum parts for protection from wear and
corrosion, as well as for cosmetic effects.
Colors:Clear, black, grey, red, blue, gold
Types:Type 2, Type 3, Type 3 + PTFE
Texture:Smooth, matte finish. Does not cover machine marks unless media blasted beforehand.
Black Oxide
Black oxide is a conversion coating similar to Alodine that is used for steel and stainless steel. It is used mainly for
appearance and for mild corrosion resistance.

Brushing is a metal processing process. Under the action of external force, the metal is forced through the mold, the cross-sectional area of the metal is compressed, and the technical processing method of obtaining the required cross-sectional area shape and size is called the metal drawing process.
Chemical polishing
Aluminium chemical polishing is widely used in the lighting industry, where the parts geared to reflect light gain in terms of light output and saving energy consumption; and for home and bath accessories, instead of chrome plating (which is more expensive and less workable).
Chrome Plating
Brushing is the manufacturing process of repeatedly scraping the metal out of lines with sandpaper. In the wire drawing process, the special coating technology after anodizing can make the metal surface produce a coating layer containing the metal component, clearly showing each minute Silk marks, so that fine hair shines in the metal matte, to play a beautiful, anti-erosion effect.
Electroless Nickel Plating
Electroless nickel plating (ENP) is a reaction that deposits a nickel-phosphorus alloy onto the surface of a metal. Compared to electroplating, it has more uniform thickness and superior wear and corrosion resistance.

Electropolishing is an electrochemical process used to improve the surface finish of a part by removing material to level microscopic peaks and valleys.

Media Blasting
Media blasting uses a pressurized jet of abrasive media to apply a matte, uniform finish to the surface of parts.

Nickel Plating
Nickel plating is a process used to electroplate a thin layer of nickel onto a metal part. This plating can be used for corrosion and wear resistance, as well as for decorative purposes.

Paint Spraying
Spraying is a coating method in which spray gun or dish atomizer is used to disperse into uniform and fine droplets by means of pressure or centrifugal force and apply to the surface of the object to be coated. It can be divided into air spraying, airless spraying, electrostatic spraying and various derivative methods of the above basic spraying forms.
Passivation is a chemical reaction that causes a material to be less affected by corrosion or other environmental factors.

Power coating
Powder coating is a process in which a dry powder paint is applied to a metal surface. Unlike traditional, liquid paint, powder
coating does not need a solvent to keep the binder and filler of the paint in liquid suspension.

Tumbling is a finishing process that is used to clean, deburr, and slightly smooth smaller part.

Texture:Slightly rounded edges, smooth, slightly matte finish, does not hide all machine marks
Zinc Plating
Zinc plating, which is also known as galvanization, is applied to prevent the surface from oxidizing or corroding.
Colors:Clear, light blue coating or glossy black coating
Texture:Smooth finish, does not hide machine marks
Screen Printing
Screen printing refers to the use of silk screen as a plate base, and through the photosensitive plate making method, made into a screen printing plate with graphics and text.
Laser Beam Marking
By adaption of process parameters and the possibility of placing work pieces below the optics which have a height up to 600 mm in maximum permanent marking and scribing is feasible as well on precision parts as on large assemblies. Due to a small track width unlimited contours and patterns are producible.
