Process Description SLA builds plastic parts a layer at a time using a laser to cure liquid photopolymer. SLA produces parts with very good dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Vowin employs master model makers to finish your SLA parts accurately to your 3D Data. Choices of materials are available to emulate a variety of thermo plastics. SLS uses a laser to trace over powder to selectively melt and bond the layers until the part is built. SLS builds parts in durable materials including Nylon and metals. A good choice for proto's that need to be tough. PolyJet utilizes an inkjet that deposits photopolymer onto a build tray, the layers are cured by UV. PolyJet builds in super thin layers down to just 16 microns (0.0006 inch). Best for small parts with fine details. FDM extrudes material via a nozzle. The nozzle is mounted to a mechanical stage which can be moved in both horizontal and vertical directions. FDM builds parts in ABS and PC. Surface finish and accuracy is rougher than our other RP processes. The Rapid Casting process utilizes a master pattern to create a silicone rubber mold. Duplications are then cast in a vacuum chamber. Parts are very durable and cosmetically resemble injection molded parts. Vowin specializes in casting for Low Quantity Production, Over molded Parts, Lens, and Large Parts.

5 ASA ASA Black, Blue, Dark Grey, Green, Ivory, Light Grey, Orange, Red, White, Yellow Matches or exceeds the properties of standard ABS and has higher UV stability. Ten colors are available. 6 Nylon 12 Nylon Black  
7 PC (Polycarbonate) Polycarbonate White With almost twice the tensile strength of ABS, polycarbonate has superior mechanical and structural properties. 8 PC-ABS Polycarbonate Black The best of both PC and ABS. Higher strength engineering thermoplastic with slightly more flexibility than standard polycarbonate. Solid infill parts are fully dense. (View spec sheet)
9 PC-ISO Polycarbonate Translucent Natural, White Biocompatible PC material can be gamma or EtO sterilized (ISO 10993 USP Class VI). Well suited for food and drug packaging as well as medical device manufacturing. Solid infill parts are fully dense. (View spec sheet)
10 PPSF PPSF Tan Polyphenylsulfone has the highest heat and chemical resistance of all FDM materials with superior mechanical strength. Sterilizable via autoclave, EtO, plasma, chemical, and radiation. Great for scientific and lab applications. Solid infill parts are fully dense. (View spec sheet)
11 ULTEM 1010 Ultem Natural Flame retardant high-performance thermoplastic for end-use parts. Certified for food-contact and biocompatibility. Widely used in aviation or transportation industries due to UL94 classification. Solid infill parts are fully dense.
12 ULTEM 9085 Ultem Black, Tan Flame retardant high-performance thermoplastic for complex end-use parts. Heavily used in transportation and aerospace, can also be applied in high heat mechanical environments. UltraLight infill parts are filled with a single cross-hatch pattern, our lightest fill option available.
